불규칙 활용 관련 교육 내용 선정에 관한 논의-현행 고등학교 교과서인 『독서와 문법』을 중심으로-

본고는 현행 고등학교 문법 교과서인 『독서와 문법』에 실려 있는 불규칙 활용 관련 교육 내용의 문제점을 찾아보고 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위해서 어떤 내용이 교육 내용으로 포함되어야 하는지를 모색해 본 연구 결과이다. 불규칙 활용과 관련하여 학계에서는 규칙 활용과 불규칙 활용을 구분하는 기준, 불규칙 활용의 범위 또는 유형을 설정함에 있어 활발한 논의가 있었다. 이 같은 연구 성과가 규범 문법인 학교 문법에 반영되어 왔던 것도 사실이다. 그런데 2007년 개정 교육과정 이후에 출판된 4종의 『독서와 문법』 교과서를 검토한 결과 불규칙 활용 관련 교육 내용이 소홀히 다루어지고 있고 그 내용도 체계적이지 않아 학습자들에게 올바른 지침서로서의 역할을 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이 같은 문제점을 개선하고자 본고에서는 불규칙 활용 관련 교육 내용 선정 시 고려되어야 할 사항을 내용의 보완(개념 설명, 불규칙 활용 범위)과 내용의 첨가(체계적 구성, 실생활 적용)로 구분하여 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study examined the contents in the high school textbooks 『Reading and Grammar』, which introduced the “conjugation of irregular verbs” in Korean and found a lot of problems in the textbooks. In the textbooks, the part to explain “conjugation of irregular verbs” was not enough for students to understand the grammar of the irregular pattern of the verbs in Korean and even in the certain version, there is no explanation about irregular verbs at all. From the educational perspective, the structural method in these textbooks to explain the irregular verbs looks also problematic. For those reasons, students seems to be difficult to understand the grammar related to the irregular verbs if only studying the textbooks nowaday. Thus, this paper proposed 4 alternatives such as (i)explaining the concept of the conjugation of irregular verbs, (ii)displaying the unified conjugation patterns, (iii)illustrating the systematic explanation, and (iv)applying it to the actual life in order to reform the textbooks for the future school grammar.
