Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the direction of development of a humanities fusion treatment program for discovering the meaning of life for the elderly retired professional. To this end, FGI was conducted for experts in the fields of humanities fusion treatment and logo therapy (meaning therapy). The study participants consisted of 5 experts with more than 6 years of clinical experience in the fields of humanities fusion treatment, elderly depression, art therapy, meaning therapy, and multicultural counseling. As a result of the study, 4 topics, 9 categories, and 19 details were derived. First, the attitude of the counselor and the attitude of the counselor were found to be an important factor in the attitude and approach of the counselor. In the process of forming the rapport, it was emphasized that the sympathetic listening of the counselor and the receptive attitude without criticism contributed to enhancing the psychological stability of the elderly retired profession. Second, the study participants suggested that in order to solve the problem of identity loss and social isolation experienced by the elderly retired professional, not only personal characteristics but also their social relationships should be considered. Third, in the design and operation of the humanities fusion treatment program, a humanities approach through narrative search as well as the design and operation method of the program was important. Fourth, the study participants therapy and photo-telling helps the retired professional elderly to reflect on themselves and deepens their self-understanding. Through this, it is expected to contribute to helping the retired professional elderly reconstruct the meaning of life after retirement.
