츠빙글리의 국가관: 한국교회, 어떻게 북한을 바라보아야 하나

한국교회의 다수가 장로교회다. 장로교회의 신학은 개혁신학(The Reformed Theology)으로 부른다. 개혁신학은 개혁교회의 신학(The Theology of the Reformed Church)으로, 그 역사적 출발점은 16세기 스위스 종교개혁이다. 더 정확히 말하면, 스위스 취리히의 종교개혁자 츠빙글리(H. Zwingli, 1484-1531))와 한 세대 후에 태어나 제네바에서 활약한 칼빈(J. Calvin, 1509-1564)의 신학에 뿌리를 두고 있다. 문제는 한국 장로교회가 그 역사적 정체성을 종종 망각한 채 유성처럼 존재한다는 것이다. 한국교회는 21세기 분단의 땅에서 살아가며 많은 도전을 받고 있는데, 세상의 소금과 빛의 역할을 감당하기 위해서 정체성을 분명히 해야만 한다. 무엇보다 개혁신학의 역사적 구호 ‘개혁된 교회는 지금도 개혁되어야 한다’(reformata Ekklesia semper reformanda)는 오늘 한국교회의 갱신을 촉구한다. 그런 맥락에서 본 글은 ‘개혁교회의 아버지’이며 개혁신학의 기초를 놓은 H. 츠빙글리의 국가관, 다르게는 교회와 국가의 관계를 이해하고자 하였다. 분단의 땅에 존재하며 평화의 사도로 부름 받은 한국교회가 바른 역할을 찾기 위해서이다. 곧 평화통일을 위해 한국교회의 역할이 무엇일지를 역사적으로 인식하고자 한다.
Abstract
The Majority of Korean Church is presbyterian. The theology of the presbyterian church is the Reformed Theology, came from the Swiss Reformation in the 16. Century. The main role of the Swiss Reformation was by H. Zwingli(1484-1531) and J. Calvin(1509-1564). Their Theology is the root of the Reformed Theology. The problem of the Korean Presbyterian Church is to know not exactly their historical Identity. Therefore the korean presbyterian church is different from the original Reformed Church, especially in the social ethic. The Korean presbyterian Church lives with the big challenge in the divided Han-Peninsular. But they do not a important role in their Land as the salt and the light that the bible as the Word of God ask for them. So I want to show in this article, what is their historical identity in the social ethic, especially by H. Zwinglu as ‘the father of the Reformed Church’.
