대전시 중증장애아동 자녀를 둔 어머니의 양육경험에 대한 연구 - 사회적 지원 욕구를 중심으로 -

본 연구는 대전광역시에 거주하는 중증장애아동 자녀를 둔 어머니들의 양육경험에 따른 부담과 그에 따른 요구를 알아보고자 시행되었다. 이를 위해 대전지역의 중증장애 자녀를 둔 어머니 8명을 대상으로 질적 연구를 수행하였다. 연구결과 중장장애아동 어머니들의 경험은 3개의 상위범주와 8개의 하위범주로 구조화 되었다. 상위범주는 ‘중증장애아동 양육부담의 개인화’, ‘중증장애아동 어머니의 고립’, ‘중증장애아동 어머니의 사회적 관계 ’등으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 중증장애아동 자녀와 그들의 가족의 삶의 질을 향상시키는데 유용한 서비스 개발의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to further understanding of difficulties and needs of mothers caring for children with severe disability. The Qualitative Research were conducted with 8 mothers caring for children with severe disability in Dae Jeon, as a result, 3 theme clusters, 8 themes were identified for the experiences in the mothers caring for children with severe disability, The 3 theme clusters were elaborated as ‘Individualization of parenting for children with severe disability’, ‘Isolation of mothers caring for children with severe disability’, ’Social Relationship of mothers caring for children with severe disability’, This study will be utilized as a basic data for development of service for improving life of the children with severe disability and their families. * Assistant Professor, Department of Social Welfare, Joongbu University, e-mail : swg0403@joongbu.ac.kr
