Abstract
The Reappraisal about Syntactic Affix Lee, Hoon This article aims to ascertain that the theory of Syntactic-Affix(SA) has brought the excessive operation and the unnecessary manipulation to Korean syntax and is the inappropriate method for an Agglutinative-Forms(AggF), through the review of SA, which is one of the various theory in AggF. The theory of SA, though it has brought much academic achievement in AggF, has the theoretic problem derived from generative morphology itself, which prevent it from being recognized as the principles in Korean grammar. Consequently, it shows that AggFs have difficulty to expound as Inflectional-Affix(IA) and the problem of SA with base at the inflectional concept. The problem is as follows when it sets. 1) An excessivity of the computation by a head movement setting up. 2) An inappropriateness of an theta-role allocation ofa syntatic lexical-affix. 3) An arbitrary quotation of a generation theory. 4) The difficulty of explanation of scrambling word order. 5) Unjust treatment about an element of sister member of a phrase. 6) A collapse of boundary between the sentence and word. 7) A discrimination impossibility of the word formation theory and grammar. 8) An antinomy on terminology. For the solution of such problem, it was proposed as follows that is to make word and part of speech setting up new and to need for a cognitive grammatical description on grammar by cognitive process and fuzzy procedure of sentence computation in korean.
