초등학교 고학년용 녹색소비교육이 초등학생의 소비의식과 소비행동에 미치는 영향

Abstract

The study was to develop the green consumer educational program for upper grades of elementary school, and to investigate the influence on awareness for the consumption of 6th graders in an elementary school in Seoul. To achieve the purpose, documentary and investigatory research was conducted and thereafter the program was developed and was implemented by following the 4 stages of planing, design/verification, field test, evaluation. The experiment was conducted in one-group pretest-postest design, and the program was applied to a class for two hours every week in discretionary activity class for 8 weeks. A questionnaire was used to survey the effects of students` awareness and behaviour on the consumption. The SPSS 12.0 program was used to analyze the results. For this purpose, the researcher tried to understand the educational benefits and verify its effects by developing and applying the educational program dealing with the green consumption through not only the analysis of the course of study, or the consideration of the case studies, but also the research for the references on the green growth education and consumer education. The result of this study is as follows. First, the results of analysis on 5th/6th grade textbook and the guide book of 2007 revised curriculum, practical arts was the most suitable curriculum organizing the green consumption education, because it covered evenly the area of ​ consumer education containing 'eco-friendly consumption and culture' area etc. By extracting and reconstructing the relevant green consumption contents in this 5th/6th grade practical arts, the green consumption education program can be developed and applied. Second, the green consumption education program had a positive effect on the students` consumption awareness and behavior. Third, the green consumption education program had a positive correlation(.683) between consumption awareness and behavior. Fourth, according to qualitative analysis, students appear to be more concerned in the green consumption and environment, learning motivation and comprehension after receiving the green consumption education. In conclusion, this study is to bring the case of study of green consumer educational program to promote education for sustainable development in elementary school field. Therefore, more intensive research should be conducted on linking teaching and learning methods, as a follow-up activity.
