본 연구의 목적은 챗GPT를 활용하여 시각장애인의 복지서비스의 접근성을 향상시키고 이를 통해 챗GPT의 유용성과 효과성을 탐색하는 데 있었다. 연구방법은 GPT-3.5와 GPT-4가 제공한 시각장애인 복지서비스 관련 응답을 복지공무원, 관련 기관 웹사이트, 공식 문건, 네이버 검색 결과와 비교 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 방대한 자료에서 장애유형별로 선별된 자료를 체계적으로 제공함으로써 정보 접근성을 강화할 수 있다는 것을 확인하였다. 둘째, 공급자 위주의 분절된 사회복지서비스 정보를 통합 제공하여 사용자의 정보 활용도를 높일 수 있다. 셋째, 복지공무원의 역할 분담을 통해 복지서비스 전달체계의 개선을 기대할 수 있다. 넷째, 디지털 정보 격차 해소를 통한 장애인의 정보 접근성 개선을 기대할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 챗GPT의 효과적인 활용을 통해 디지털 정보 사회에서 시각장애인 복지서비스의 정보 접근성 향상을 제안하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to enhance the accessibility of welfare services for visually impaired individuals by utilizing ChatGPT, and to explore the usefulness and effectiveness of ChatGPT in this context. The research method involved comparing and analyzing the responses provided by GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 related to welfare services for the visually impaired with information from welfare officers, relevant institutional websites, official documents, and Naver search results. The findings of the study are as follows: First, it was confirmed that systematically providing selected information based on the type of disability from extensive data sources can enhance information accessibility. Second, integrating fragmented welfare service information, which is typically provider-oriented, can increase users' information utilization. Third, it is possible to expect improvements in the welfare service delivery system through the role-sharing of welfare officers. Fourth, improving information accessibility for people with disabilities through bridging the digital information gap is anticipated. Therefore, this study suggests that the effective use of ChatGPT can improve the accessibility of information on welfare services for the visually impaired in a digital information society.
