Gyobanggayo is a book which contains the paly of Gyobang(敎坊) in the late Chosun Dynasty. Gyobanggayo is a rarity literature, minister Jung-Hyunsuk had published in Emperor Gojong 9th year. This book contains fourteen kinds of dances which were song lied, lyrics, Pansori, Jabyo and so on. It is a valuable reference for studying about Chosun dynasty's music and dances. The Original designation of Sunak which was recorded in Gyobanggayo, is Sunyoorak(船遊樂).In the early days of YoungJo era Sunyoorak was played as a name of Baettaragi in Pyeongan area. And after then it was flown in to the Court. The initial record of Sunyoorak was discovered at『Hwasungnughangdobyung(華城陵幸圖屛)』in Jung-jo era. Since then Sunyoorak was played as a typical Court dance for a state banquet. And it seems to be spread throughout Gyobang by an official dancing girl. Sunyoorak was written in designation of Sunak at Kyobang. In this book there is a colored picture. There are twenty-five official dancing girls. The music was composed with Samhyunyukgak(三絃六角) and there are total six musicians. According to the picture, the Sunak which was recorded at Gyobanggayo was more simplified than the dance was played in the late of Chosun Dinasty. It is assumed that Sunak was the original Court dance but the scale had been much smaller then before.
