본 연구는 4차 산업혁명 시대로 접어든 현 시대에 긴박하게 다루어야 할 특별 계시와 일반 계시 (자연 계시) 의 조화에 관한 것이다. 이 논문의 논지 안에는 창조세계에 나타난 하나님의 계시를 극대화하고 보다 풍 성하게 드러내기 위한 새로운『과학신학, Scientific Theology』방법론이 들어 있다. 본 연구는 지금도 왕성하 게 활동하고 있는 분자생물학자 이자 신학자인 알리스터 맥그래스(Alister E. McGrath)의 『과학신학』1)을 중심으로 전개한다. 본 논문은 맥그래스를 중심으로 크게 두 가지의 주제로 연구해 나가고자 한다. 첫째, ‘기독 교 계시의 역사와 정의’이다. 이는 ‘기독교 자연신학을 위한 과학적 방법론’을 전개함에 있어서 매우 필요한 부 분이다. 이 절에서는 ‘맥그래스가 본 계시의 정의’와 ‘자연계시를 위한 과학적 방법론’이 들어 있다. 여기에는 특별 계시와 일반 계시의 두 양태를 일원론적 인식론으로 설명하면서 하나님의 특별한 방식으로서의 계시를 드러내려 한다. 맥그래스는 근현대의 여러 계시인식론 모델을 고찰하면서 기독교 계시의 역사가 어느 시점까지 논의되어 왔는지를 밝힌바 있다.2) 맥그래스는 하나님의 특별 계시가 오히려 일반 계시를 통해 더 확실하고 풍 성하게 드러난다고 보면서 후험적 계시인식을 중요시 했다. 이러한 특별 계시와 일반 계시의 관계성, 혹은 ‘일 원론적 인식’3)은 기독교 자연신학의 기초를 놓는 새로운 방법론적 토대가 될 것이다. 둘째, ‘과학적 방법론’이 다. 여기에서는 ‘자연,’ ‘실재,’ ‘이론’ 이라는 세 가지의 주제를 다룬다. 이 주제들은 하나님의 창조세계를 어떤 방식으로 인식하고 이해할 것인가? 에 대한 방법론의 문제이기도 하다. 기독교 자연신학을 위한 과학적 방법론 은 특별한 방식으로 나타난 창조세계의 ‘관찰,’ 그에 따른 ‘과학적 이론체계 (교리)’의 함의, 그리고 기독교 신 앙에 나타난 하나님의 계시에 대한 ‘설명 (세계관)’ 으로 나아가는 방식이다. 이 방법론은 기독교의 특별 계시 와 일반 계시의 균형을 잡아주는 맥그래스의 전략이기도 하다.
Abstract
This study is a harmony between special revelation and general revelation (natural revelation), which must be dealt with urgently in the present era entering the 4th industrial revolution era. In this thesis, a new method of “scientific theology” is included to fully reveal and explain God’s revelation in creation reflecting God’s revelation. This study focuses on『Scientific Theology』of Alister E. McGrath, a molecular biologist and theologian who is still active. This thesis intends to study two major themes, focusing on McGrath. First, ‘The History and Justice of Christian Revelation’. This is a very necessary part in developing “Scientific Methodology for Christian Natural Theology”. It contains 'The Definition of Revelation as insisted by McGrath' and 'Scientific Methodology for Natural Revelation'. Here, the two modes of special revelation and general revelation are presented as a monistic epistemology, and the revelation as a special way of God is revealed. While examining several modern and contemporary epistemological models of revelation, McGrath has made clear to what point Christian revelation has been discussed in history. McGrath emphasized the retrospective recognition of revelation, seeing that God's special revelation is revealed more clearly and abundantly through general revelation. The relationship between special revelation and general revelation, or 'monistic awareness', will become a new methodological foundation that lays the foundation for Christian natural theology. Second, it is a 'scientific methodology' based on a new epistemological foundation for Christian revelation. There are three topics covered here. 'Theory,' 'Nature,' and 'Reality'. How will this recognize and understand God's creation? It is a question of methodology. The scientific methodology for Christian natural theology consists of 'observation' of creation in a special way, the implications of the 'scientific theoretical system (doctrine)', and 'explanation (worldview)' of God's revelation in Christian faith. way out. This methodology is also McGrath's strategy for balancing Christian special and general revelation.
