이 글의 주된 목적은 철학적 담론에서 사회, 사회적인 것의 지평을 되묻는 것이다. 이를 위해 필자는 먼저 ‘사회 없는 사회비판’이라는 은유를 통해 사회를 비판의 주체가 아니라 대상으로만 취급하는 담론 상황을 문제로 설정하고(1), 사회적 지평의 규범적 정당화 가능성을 찾는다(2). 이 과정에서 필자는 자유의 개별성, 보편성, 특수성을 상호주관적으로 인정하는 개인들의 만남, 소통, 연대의 과정으로 사회에 대한 재규정을 시도한다. 그런 다음 필자는 칸트와 헤겔 철학에서 사회가 예정조화 틀로 변형되어 국가 체계로 포섭되는 과정을 비판한다(3). 마지막으로 필자는 자본시장(회사)만이 아니라 국가행정의 권력 체계와 구별되면서 동시에 두 권력에 대한 실천의 비판의 가능성을 시민사회의 대의제에서 찾는다(4).
Abstract
This article aims to inquire a horizon of a ‘society,’ and the ‘social’ in the frame of philosophical discourses. For the purpose, I criticized a philosophical discourse, which regards a society only as the object of criticism, not the subject of criticism. Metaphorically speaking, the discourse is to ‘criticize a society, which does not exist.’ Second, I attempted to find a normative foundation of a social horizon. In the process, I tried to redefine a society as the process of meetings, communications, solidarity of individuals, who recognize individuality, universality, and speciality in the level of inter-subjectivity. I also criticized a process in which a society is transformed a state in the way of pre-established harmony in the theories of Kant and Hegel. Lastly, I suggested an alternative of a representative system of civil society, which distinguishes itself from not only capital market (company) but also a power system of the state administration.
