로이드 존스의 성령론적 설교

초록

로이드 존스가 설교에 있어서 성령의 기름부음을 강조한 것은 매우 귀중한 가치를 갖는다. 왜냐하면 설교가 지성과 감정, 의지를 다루는 전인(全人)적 사역임을 잘 파악했을 뿐만 아니라, 이러한 청중들에게 궁극적인 영향을 끼 치는 성령의 사역을 바르게 지적했기 때문이다. 즉, 현대 교회의 설교 현상 가운데 뚜렷하게 상반된 두 가지 조류의 견해와 경향이 지닌 장점들과 약점 들을잘파악했을뿐만아니라, 그두조류가내재한장점들을바르게제시 했기 때문이다. 한편으로, 개혁주의 노선의 성경적 교리에 치중하되 사람들 의 삶의 경험을 무시하는 지성적 설교가 있다면, 다른 한편, 사람들의 감정 을 고조시키되 성경적 가르침이 부족한 오순절파적 설교가 있다. 하지만 로이드 존스가 주장하는 부흥의 관점에서 설교자에게 임하는 성령의 기름부음과 권능은 비평의 여지가 없는 것은 아니다. 왜냐하면 그의 성령론 은 오순절파 신학이 갖는 오류를 갖고 있기 때문이다. 하지만 로이드 존스의 이런 약점이 그가 의도했던 무기력했던 교회의 부흥을 위한 그의 열망을 상 쇄시킬 수는 없을 것이다.

Abstract

Lloyd-Jones’ stress on the baptism with the Spirit in preaching has sig- nificant value for the contemporary Church. For he understands rightly not only that preaching deals with the whole person including intellect, emotion, and will, and also the ministry that the Spirit exercises ultimate influences on the contemporary listeners. He perceives the strengths and weaknesses that two different opposed opinions have in contemporary preaching. He also relevantly presents the inherent merits that the two trends have. On the one hand, there is preaching that focused on biblical doctrines in re- formed theology yet neglects the life experiences of the listeners. On the other hand, there is pentecostal preaching that heightens the emotions of people yet lacks biblical teachings. Nevertheless, about the assertion that concerning revival Lloyd-Jones makes on the unction and power of the Spirit upon the preacher criticism can be made. For his doctrine of the Spirit has the errors that Pentecostal theol- ogy has. This weak point of Lloyd-Jones, however, can not offset his desire for revival for the lethargic church.
