초록

In this study, tritium analysis was evaluated using two different LSC systems (Quantulus 1220, Hidex300 SLL) to compare their detection capabilities, background characteristics, and counting efficiencies. Additionally, two scintillation cocktails (Ultima Gold LLT, Aqualight+ ULL) was tested to assess their performance in tritiumdetection with various sample matrices. While Quantulus and Ultima Gold series cocktails have been widely usedand validated in tritium analysis, there is limited data available regarding the analytical reliability and performanceof Hidex 300 SLL combined with Aqualight+ ULL. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate and verify the analyticalfeasibility and performance of these systems, focusing on counting efficiency, background count rate, figure of merit(FoM), and quenching effects. Moreover, the results of ‘satisfaction’ were obtained by evaluating the tritium analysiscapabilities of both LSC systems using KRISS proficiency test samples. The findings of this study will providevaluable data for selecting optimal LSC instruments and cocktails for tritium analysis depending on operationalenvironments and analytical purposes. In particular, this evaluation will be contributed to strengthening the reliabilityand applicability of Hidex 300 SLL and Aqualight+ ULL for future tritium monitoring and radioactive wastemanagement practices.
