초록
Continuous monitoring of tritium (3H) in the environment is essential for sustaining our daily life. Toaccurately measure tritium radioactivity and improve reliability, we calculated a quenching curve through periodiccalibration using an ultra low-level liquid scintillation counter conducted two blind test-type performance evaluationsfor checking the validity of the quenching curve. In the first performance test, the measurement efficiency using thequenching curve was 30.43%, the radioactivity concentration was 174.6 Bq kg-1, with a 4.1% uncertainty (confidencelevel about 95%, k = 2), and the minimum detectable activity (MDA) was 2.00 Bq kg-1. In the case of the secondperformance test, they were calculated as 28.60%, 313.2 Bq kg-1, 3.7% (confidence level about 95%, k = 2), and1.87 Bq kg-1, respectively. The zˊ ― value was evaluated as –0.37 and –1.07, respectively, which were within thesatisfactory range (zˊ < 2) and showed a very close radioactivity concentration when compared to the set value ofthe performance test. In addition, the validity of the measurement technology was secured through the En ― valueevaluation method within the period during which the calibration of the measurement equipment was maintained, allresults showed a high level with values below 1. Based on these results, the validity of reliability and uncertainty inthe measurement technology of tritium samples, that is, the measurement reliability of the measurement system, wassecured.
