초록
No-carrier-added (NCA) lutetium-177 (177Lu) is widely used for targeted radionuclide therapy. Inthe indirect route (176Yb(n,γ)177Yb → 177Lu), rapid and quantitative separation of 177Lu from Ytterbium (Yb) targetsis a major factor in determining the overall yield. The separation of Lu from a Yb target of more than 100 mg wasoptimized using stable isotopes with a post-column coloring reaction (eg. PAR (4-(2-pyridylazo)resorcinol)). At the0.07 M α-hydroxyisobutyric acid (α-HIBA) adjusted to pH 4.5 with ethanolamine and 6 ml min−1 flow rate with acolumn size of 30 mm in diameter and 100 mm in height, Lu was separated from 500 mg scale Yb within 5 hrs bycation-exchange chromatography. The separated Lu was purified on Dowax 50W-X8 with dilute HCl, and subsequentrecovery in HCl afforded a yield of ~97%. This study is significant in that it confirmed the reproducibility throughrepeated experiments and established appropriate conditions for 177Lu separation and purification.
