초록
Companies are increasingly adopting social responsibility towards lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) individuals, with efforts aimed at increasing their employment opportunities. For the purpose of this research, an empirical analysis was conducted using a total of 153 valid samples of LGBTQ flight attendants working for international airlines. The findings are as follows. First, supervisor and coworker support was significantly and positively related to job satisfaction and organizational commitment. However, workplace policies and a supportive atmosphere were not significant. Second, this study confirms that only support from supervisors and coworkers had a significant negative effect on turnover intention. Third, the relationship between job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention was found to have a significant negative effect. These findings suggest that supervisor and coworker support is particularly important for LGBTQ airline employees, which may have implications for LGBTQ airline crews in terms of a better work environment and human resource management.
