메타버스 한국어 교사 아바타의 외모 개인화에 따른 한국어 학습 효과성 연구: 중국인 학습자들을 대상으로

본 연구는 한국어 교육용 교사 아바타의 외모가 한국어 학습에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위한 목적으로 수행됐다. 이를 위해 한국어를 공부하는 학습자 중에서 가장 큰 비중을 차지하는 중국인 학습자들을 대상으로 분석을 실시했다. 그 결과, 교사 아바타의 매력적인 외모와 의인화된 특성이 중국학습자들의 한국어 학습 및 교사 아바타와의 라포 형성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 중국인 학습자들은 대체로 남성 교사 아바타 보다는 여성 교사 아바타를 선호하는 경향을 보였으며, 이러한 경향은 여성 학습자들 사이에서 더 강하게 나타났다. 이러한 분석 결과는 향후에 한국어 학습자들의 학습 효과를 개선할 수 있는 교사 아바타 외모를 설계하는 데 있어서 참고할만한 결과라고 볼 수 있다.
Abstract
This study was conducted to analyze the impact of the appearance of Korean language teacher avatars on Korean language learning. To achieve it, the study targeted Chinese learners who comprise the largest proportion of Korean language learners. The results showed that the attractive appearance and personified characteristics of the avatars had a positive impact on the Korean language learning and rapport formation with the teacher avatars for Chinese learners. Additionally, Chinese learners generally showed a preference for female avatars over males and this tendency was more pronounced among female learners. These findings can be considered valuable references for designing teacher avatars’ appearances that can enhance the learning outcomes for Korean language learners in the future.
