미술교육 연구에서 현장에 대한 관심은 지속되고 있으나, 현장 외부의 연구자가 현장의 문제점이나 개선점을 논의하기에는 한계가 있다. 이 연구는 현장에 속한 교사가 미술수업을 진행하면서 겪은 어린이와 교사와의 상호작용을 스스로의 수업에서 관찰하고 기록하여 분석한 자전적 연구이다. 상호작용은 경험을 해석하는 데에 필요한 중요한 원리이다. 미술수업에서 학습자인 어린이들과 교사 사이에 이루어지는 상호작용을 분석하는 것은 교사가 수업에서 어떤일을 하고 있는지 알 수 있는 구체적인 자료가 된다. 또한 수업에서 이루어지는 미술 체험이교육적으로 중요하고 가치가 있는 것인지를 알아보는 것도 교사와 어린이간의 상호작용의 과정에서 찾아볼 수 있다. 미술수업에서 상호작용의 양상은 언어, 행위, 시각의 세 가지로 분석된다. 이러한 세 가지 양상으로 상호작용을 분석하게 된 것은 미술수업의 진행 방식 때문이다. 미술수업에서 지도는 언어를 통한 전달과 기법이나 재료의 조작과 관련한 시연, 시각적텍스트를 활용한 전달 등으로 이루어진다. 미술수업의 진행에서 교사는 적극적인 상호작용이일어나도록 학습자에게 즉각적이고 직접적인 관심을 기울이게 된다. 교사와 어린이간의 상호작용을 살펴봄으로써 교사의 수업 경험이 주는 교육적 의미를 되새겨 볼 수 있다.
Abstract
This research analyzes interactions between children and art teacher whileexamining them closely. Children in art class can show more artistic ability through interaction withan art teacher in classroom. The evaluation on experiences in classroom is essential while inspectingprocess of interaction in students and teachers in order to find out whatexperiences are educationally valuable. I observed the interaction between the children and the teacher and inspectedtheir language, behavior and visual interaction. Also I explored the relationshipbetween the teachers and children looking at how they communicate and what itmeans. Art education can be practiced by words of art teachers, performances and text. Thus, inspection on interaction is done focusing on those three aspects. This research reflects on interactions in classroom and help to reachmeaningful and educational goal in art class.
