본 연구는 계획적 차이나타운 조성을 위해 도시디자인의 원칙을 수립하고, 중국의 에스닉 유형을최대한 활용하여, 도시디자인 가이드라인 도출과정을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 도시디자인 가이드라인은 일관된 원칙 하에 도시의 스케일 범주에 따라 도시공간구조에서부터 건축물 입면요소에 이르기까지단계별로 도출하였다. 대상지의 도시공간구조와 4가지로 분류된 경계유형은 기존 도시의 맥락과 최적의조화를 이끌어 내도록 설정하였으며, 옥외공공공간은 가로구조, 침투성, 인식의 용이성, 랜드마크를 주요요소로 설정하여 서로 다른 종류의 도시공간조직을 유기적으로 구성, 조직화하도록 하였다. 건축물은 입지하는 가로체계에 따라 목적별로 연속 가로경관 조성, 원경 및 중경에서의 정면성 설정, 완충 건물군블록, 다양한 소매점에 의한 가로환경 조성, 가로의 가각부 등 6가지 유형으로 구분하고, 입면요소의 유형학적 디자인 아이콘을 구축하여 장소와 경관을 형성하도록 하였다. 본 연구의 가이드라인 도출과정과 제안은 다문화를 품는 도시공간으로서 차이나타운 개발이 글로벌 도시로의 재구성을 가능하게 하는 유형학적 도구로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The focuses of this study are to set up the urban design principal for the development of the Chinatown project, and to propose the process of urban design code deduction that makes the best use of Chinese ethnic style. The process of urban design code deduction is a step by step process from urban space structure to architectural elevation elements. These are established to achieve optimum harmony with the pre-existence of the urban context. The outer public space is composed for organic systematization of 4 main elements namely, street structure, permeability, easiness of recognition and landmark. The building pattern is classified into 6 groups according to purpose. And the typological design icon is established through the foundation of place and scenery by elevation elements. A proposal of the design code for the development of the Chinatown project can be used as the typological method of re-organization of various cultural global cities.
