코로나19 바이러스로 인한 팬데믹을 통과하면서 우리는 신앙적 추구의 급속한 변화를 목도하고 있다. 교회 중심 신앙생활의 탈피, 신앙의 개인적 성격에 대한 존중, 보다 민주적이고 탈권위적인 방식의 소통, 그리고 교회와 신앙의 본래적 단순성의 회복 등이 그것이다. 이 글은 이와 같은 우리 시대의 상황에 대한 성찰의 일환으로서 상처 입은 그리스도에 대한 신비적 경험에 바탕을 둔 아씨시의 프란치스코의 영성의 특징을 논구한다. 프란치스코 영성은 개인적 차원에서는 신비적 기도의 삶 안에서 자기를 ‘아무 것도 아닌 것’으로 여기는 태도로, 관계적 차원에서는 탈권위적이고 모성적인 상호 돌봄의 관계로, 그리고 사회적 차원에서는 피조세계의 개별적 존재에 대한 존중과 경의의 태도로 표현된다.
Abstract
In the pandemic crisis of Covid-19 we are facing the rapid change of the spiritual quest, that is, the break from the church-centered life, the need for respecting the individual aspect of faith, a more democratic, non-authoritative way of communication in the church, and thus the recovery of the simplicity of Christian faith. A response to this current situation, this essay explores the mystical spirituality of Francis of Assisi, which is grounded in his experiences of the wounded Christ. It thus shows that Francis’ spirituality includes perceiving oneself as nothing through the habitual prayer, providing a mutual, motherly care for each other, and paying due respect to the individual being of the created world.
