본 연구는 초등학교 6학년 학생의 부모 자율성 지지와 삶의 만족도의 관계에서 학업 열의와 행복감의 구조적 관계를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국아동·청소년 패널조사 2018의 3차년도 패널 자료를 사용하였다. 연구 모형 분석을 위해 구조방정식 모델링을 적용하였고, 매개효과 분석을 위한 Bootstrapping-Test를 실시하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모 자율성 지지, 학업 열의, 행복감, 삶의 만족도는 모두 정적인 관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부모 자율성 지지와 삶의 만족도의 관계에서 학업 열의와 행복감은 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 초등학교 6학년 학생의 삶의 만족도 수준 향상에 부모 자율성 지지, 학업 열의, 행복감의 관련성을 확인하였다. 특히 중학교 입학을 앞두고 있는 초등학교 6학년 학생의 부모 자율성 지지의 중요성과 함께, 삶의 만족도 수준을 높이기 위해 학업 열의와 행복감 변인의 중요성을 확인했다는데에 본 연구의 의의가 있다.
Abstract
This study investigated the structural relationships among parental autonomy support, academic enthusiasm, happiness, and life satisfaction in sixth-grade elementary school students. Specifically, it examined the mediating roles of academic enthusiasm and happiness in the relationship between parental autonomy support and life satisfaction. Data were drawn from the third wave (2020) of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018 (KCYPS 2018), targeting sixth-grade elementary students. Of the 2,607 students surveyed, data from 2,410 participants were analyzed after excluding 197 cases with missing responses. Structural equation modeling(SEM) was employed to test the hypothesized model, and bootstrapping was conducted to assess mediation effects. The results revealed that parental autonomy support, academic enthusiasm, happiness, and life satisfaction were all positively associated. Furthermore, academic enthusiasm and happiness were found to mediate the relationship between parental autonomy support and life satisfaction. These findings highlight the importance of fostering parental autonomy support, academic enthusiasm, and happiness in promoting life satisfaction among elementary school students. Educational implications and directions for future research are discussed.
