문해 격차는 다른 교과나 영역의 학습에 영향을 미친다는 점에서 중요한 문제인데, 코로나바이러스 대유행 이후로 점점 확대되는 양상이 나타나고 있다. 이에 이 연구에서는 학생들이 겪고 있는 문해 격차의 문제를 해소하거나 완화하는 방안을 탐구하였다. 탐구 결과, 학습 문해 중심의 활동을 생활 문해 중심의 활동으로 재편하는 방안, 학생들의 인지 부담을 고려하여 문장 수준, 문단 수준, 글 수준으로 문해 활동을 확대하는 방안, 이해의 내용이나 표현의 내용을 정의, 재진술, 예시 등의 방법으로 펼쳐내도록 하는 방안, 학생들의 관심, 수준에 맞는 텍스트를 복합적으로 제시하는 방안을 제안하였다. 이러한 방안은 이론적으로만 구성되었다는 한계가 있으므로, 실증적인 연구 방법을 통해 그 효과를 검증할 수 있다면 좀 더 분명한 문해 격차 해소 또는 완화 방안으로 자리를 잡을 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The literacy gap of secondary student is an important problem in that it affects learning in other subjects or areas in school, and it has been gradually widening since the Corona virus pandemic. Therefore, this study explored ways to solve or alleviate the problem of the literacy gap experienced by students. As a result of the inquiry, this study proposed a plan to reorganize learning literacy- oriented activities into life literacy-oriented activities in the classroom, expand literacy activities from sentence level to text level through paragraph level. Since these measures are limited to being theoretically constructed only, if the effect can be verified through empirical researches, it will be able to establish a clearer way to get rid of or turn down the literacy gap of secondary students.
