본 연구는 트랜스 동아시아 관점에서 한·중·일 현대 드라마에 나타난 『詩經』의 수용 양상과 활용 방식을 비교 분석하였다. 『詩經』은 동아시아의 한·중·일 삼국에서 오랫동안 문화적·교육적 유산으로 자리매김해 왔으며, 현대까지도 다양한 방식으로 재해석되고 있다. 한·중·일 삼국의 드라마에서 『詩經』이 인용되는 구체적 장면들을 검토한 결과, 각국은 공통적으로 『詩經』을 현대적 맥락에서 재해석하여 등장인물의 심리와 관계를 표현하거나 인간의 보편적 감정을 묘사하는 서사적 도구로 활용하고 있었다. 특히 등장인물의 내면 심리와 관계성을 표현하는 매개체로서 중요한 역할을 하며, 각국의 문화적 특성에 따라 독특한 변용 양상을 보였다. 이러한 분석을 통해 『詩經』이 동아시아 문화권에서 단순한 고전 문학 작품의 범주를 넘어 각국의 문화적 맥락에 따라 새롭게 해석되고 의미가 부여되면서 현재까지도 생명력 있는 문화 자산임을 확인할 수 있다. 이는 전통과 현대를 연결하는 매개체로서 『詩經』의 현대적 가치를 잘 보여준다.
Abstract
This study analyzes the reception and utilization patterns of 『Shijing』 in contemporary Korean, Chinese, and Japanese dramas from a trans-East Asian perspective. 『Shijing』 has long been established as a cultural and educational heritage in the three East Asian countries and continues to be reinterpreted in various ways in modern times. Through analyzing specific scenes where 『Shijing』 is quoted in dramas from each country, this study examines how it is utilized and given meaning. The results show that each country commonly reinterprets 『Shijing』 in a modern context, using it as a narrative device to express characters’ psychology and relationships, and to portray universal human emotions. It plays a particularly important role as a medium for expressing characters’ inner psychology and relationships, while showing unique adaptation patterns according to each country’s cultural characteristics. This analysis confirms that 『Shijing』 continues to function as a vital cultural asset in East Asian cultural spheres, maintaining its value as a medium connecting tradition and modernity. This study is expected to contribute to understanding the patterns of cultural sharing and transformation in East Asia.
