본 연구는 선행연구를 통해 기존 세계시민교육의 경향성을 살펴보며 세계시민 및 세계시민 사상의 의미, 세계시민교육의 지향성을 탐구한 다음, 영화 리터러시와 세계시민교육의 관계성과 교육적 효과의 가능성을 모색해 보았다. 영화 리터러시와 세계시민교육은 삶과 밀착된다는 점에서 유사점을 가지며, 두 영역의 융합적 시도는 시너지 효과를 낸다. 영화 리터러시와 세계시민교육이 연계될 때 영화라는 장르가 가진 학습자들의 몰입 효과와 감정이입을 불러일으킬 뿐만 아니라 인문학적 소양을 갖춘 사유하고 성찰하는 세계시민을 양성할 수 있다. 또한, 영화 리터러시를 통한 세계시민교육에서 영화는 나와 공동체, 그리고 나와 세계에 대한 삶의 태도를 철학적으로 사고하면서 공존과 상생의 분별력 있는 사고를 함양할 수 있다는 점에서 영화의 교육적 가치를 가진다. 이러한 연구 과정의 결과를 토대로 영화를 통한 시민교육 모델인 민주피아 모형을 적용하여 영화 리터러시를 활용한 세계시민교육 모형을 개발하고 제시하였다. 이 교육모형은 교수자와 학습자가 모두가 모두에게 배우는 쌍방향 수업이다. 또한, 영화논제와 심화논제를 사유하고 토론하는 과정을 통해 궁극적으로는 세계시민으로서의 자질과 태도를 함양할 수 있다.
Abstract
This study examined the trends of existing global citizenship education through previous research, explored the direction of global citizenship education through understanding the meaning of global citizenship and global citizenship philosophy, and then I explored the possibilities of the relationship and educational effects between film literacy and global citizenship education. Film literacy and global citizenship education have similarities in that they are closely related to life, and attempts to converge inter-disciplinarity create a synergy effect. When film literacy and global citizenship education are linked, not only can the genre of film bring about the immersion effect and empathy of learners, but it can also cultivate thinking and reflective global citizens with liberal arts knowledge. In addition, in global citizenship education through film literacy, films have educational value in that it can foster sensible thinking about coexistence and coprosperity while philosophically thinking about the attitude of life toward oneself, the community, and oneself and the world. Based on the results of this research process, global citizenship education model through film literacy was developed and presented by applying the Minjupia model, a model of citizenship education through film. This education model is the interactive communication classes where instructors and learners learn from each other. Additionally, through the process of thinking and discussing film topics and advanced topics, you can ultimately develop your qualities and attitude as a global citizen.
