Abstract
This paper examines the growing debt bubble risk in the U.S. economy induced by the unconventional Keynesian monetary policy ofthe Federal Reserve Bank. It illustrates that the fundamental cause andthe true nature of the current global financial crisis, which was triggeredby the collapse of the subprime mortgage market in 2007, are attributedby the Fed's mismanagement of monetary policy and control of money. This may eventually lead to currency problem when the huge bubblebursts and may cause the U.S. Dollar to loose its world reserve currencystatus. So the forthcoming crisis will not only affect the U.S. economybut the economic and financial system of the whole world. That is whyit is important to examine the risk of the growing debt bubble in theU.S. economy from the Austrian perspective that offers an alternativechoice to the current mainstream Keynesian view. From this perspective,it can also argue that Rising China's Renminbi in the midst of the globalfinancial crisis has far more implications to the changes that areundertaking now in the world financial market. It not only serves as analternative to the U.S. Dollar payment system, but also may even lead toa new paradigm of economic cooperation and development co-initiatedby the BRICS nations. So, as the risk of the bubble economy and newcrisis grows, the world may face more conflicts and changes in order forthe new paradigm to emerge out of the old system.
