이 연구는 예비교사들이 형성하고 있는 사이버 사회관계망의 구조와 기능 영역에 대하여 살펴봄으로써 사이버 공간의 활용방향을 제시하는 기초 정보 수집을 목적으로 하였다. 연구방법은 질문지를 통한 조사연구로 이루어졌으며, 연구대상은 충북지역에 있는 대학에서 교직과정을 이수하는 대학생들을 대상으로 2007년 11월에 480명을 표집 하여 이루어졌다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 예비교사들은 인터넷을 통한 사이버 사회관계망 형성이 전반적으로 활발하게 이루어지지 않고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 예비교사들의 사회관계망은 구조영역에서는 심리적 안정성이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 다음으로 지속기간이 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 기능영역에서는 정보적 지원이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 다음으로 평가적 지원이 높게 나타났다. 넷째, 구조 영역을 보면, 성별에서는 규모, 접촉빈도, 심리적 안정성에서 남자가 여자보다 높게 나타났다. 계열별에서는 모든 영역에서 사범계와 비사범계의 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 다섯째, 기능 영역을 보면, 성별에서는 물질적, 정서적, 도구적 지원 영역에서 남자가 여자보다 높게 나타났다. 계열별에서는 정보적, 평가적 지원 영역에서 사범계열이 비사범계열 보다 높게 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the structure and function of pre-service teachers’ social networks in cyberspace. To accomplish this purpose, a questionnaire survey was administered in September 2007 to 480 pre-service teachers who attended one of the universities located in ChungBuk province, South Korea. The results are as follows. First, overall per-service teachers’ cyber-networking appeared to be inactive. Second, inthe structural domain of cyber social networks of per-service teachers, psychological stability and duration had high scores, in that order. Third, in the functional domain, informational support and evaluation support scored high, in that order. Fourth, in the structural domain, female students scored higher than male students in the variables of size, contact frequency, and psychological stability. No differences were found between pre-service teachers and students from other college departments in any of the analyzed areas. Last, in the functional domain, male students scored higher than female students in the variables as physical, emotional, and instrumental support areas. It was also found that pre-service teachers scored higher than students from other college departments in the variables of informational and evaluation support.
