반전의 깨달음을 위한 설교 플롯에 관한 연구

초록

설교의 중요한 목표 중의 하나는 하나님과 신자 사이의 영적인 친교와 연합을 달성하는 것이고 이를 위하여 먼저 설교자와 청중 사이에 설교를 통한 소통이 원활하게 진행되어야 한다. 하지만 현대 교회 안에서 기독교 설교가 설교자와 청중 사이의 소통을 촉진시키지 못하고 오히려 양자 사이의 소통를 방해하여 궁극적으로 하나님과 청중 사이의 영적인 친교와 연합의 목표를 달성하지 못하는 경우가 빈번히 발생한다. 본 논문은 하나님과 신자들 사이의 영적인 친교와 연합의 목표를 달성하는데 효과적인 설교 형식을 모색한다. 이를 위하여 연구자는 실천신학의 연구 방법론을 활용하여 현대 교회 안에서의 영적인 연합의 실패 원인을 추상적이고 보편적인 동일자를 추구하는 동일성 지향적인 서구철학의 문제점과 비인격적인 물화의 관점에서 비판한다. 이어서 설교를 통한 영적인 각성과 변화의 목표를 Austin의 화행론과 효과수반발화행위의 관점에서 확인하고 설교자와 청중의 영적인 연합과 동일시의 가능성을 Levinas의 타자 윤리학과 이타적인 자아 개념에서 모색한다. 그리고 설교자와 청중의 영적인 연합을 촉진시키기 위한 설교 형식을 아리스토텔레스의 시학에 등장하는 반전의 깨달음과 Eugene Lowry의 내러티브 설교 형식의 활용 가능성을 모색한다. 마지막으로 하나님과 신자들 사이의 영적인 연합과 친교는 내러티브 정체성을 통하여 표현된다는 점에 주목하면서 Ricoeur가 제안하는 관계적인 내러티브 정체성에 관하여 고찰한다. 결국 설교자가 일차적으로 성경이 제시하는 이타적인 자아에 관한 반전의 깨달음을 설교로 전달하면 청중도 이타적인 자아에 관한 깨달음을 통하여 변화를 받을 수 있을 것이고, 이러한 깨달음이 신앙 공동체 안에서 지속적으로 누적될 때 신앙 공동체 전체가 하나님과의 영적인 친교와 연합을 경험하며 이러한 영적인 경험은 이타적인 자아에 관한 섬김의 내러티브로 축적될 수 있다.

Abstract

One of the most important purpose of preaching is to acquire a spiritual fellowship and communion between God and His people. For this purpose, preaching communication between preacher and audience must be successful. However, contemporary Christian preaching sometimes fails to promote spiritual communication between preacher and audience, and ultimately disturbs spiritual fellowship and communion between God and audience. This article examines an effective preaching plot to acquire a spiritual fellowship and communion between God and His people. For this homiletical study purpose, the researcher firstly examines the homiletical background of why the Christian preaching could not acquire a spiritual fellowship and communion between God and His people, and criticizes western philosophy inclinable to the universal and abstract sameness in terms of impersonal reification theory as suggested by Axel Honneth. This article also examines a spiritual enlightenment and transformation as an important preaching purpose in terms of the speech act theory and perlocutionary act of J. Austin, and studies a homiletical possibility of the spiritual communion between preacher and audience in terms of the altruistic ethics and the oneself as another as proposed by Levinas. This study leads to the recognition of reversal as suggested by Aristotle's poetics and the narrative preaching plot as proposed by Eugene Lowry. Lastly this study also examines relational narrative identity as suggested by Ricoeur with the homiletical possibility that a spiritual fellowship and communion between God and His people could be expressed by the identity narrative. As a result, preacher should deliver recognition of reversal about the altruistic oneself as reveled in the Scriptural text. With this preaching plot, the audience could experience the same altruistic oneself by the recognition of reversal, and this preaching experience can lead the congregation into the more abundant spiritual communion with the servanthood identity narrative.
