본 논문은 실천신학의 한 분야인 기독(목회)상담과 설교에서 중요한 역할을 차지하는 회중(내담자)의 위치와 역할 변화에 대한 고찰을 주목적으로 한다. 특별히 설교학에서는 지난 반세기에 걸쳐서 설교자와 회중의 역할 관계가 많은 변화가 있어왔다. 설교자 일방주도식 설교에서 설교자와 회중의 동반적 관계로의 전환이 그 변화의 핵심이다. 이러한 설교전달 주체간의 역할 변화는 이후 설교의 전달방식과 설교형태에도 큰 영향을 끼쳤다. 설교전달의 이러한 변화는 기독(목회)상담에서 상담자와 내담자의 관계에서 주어지는 중요한 경험들을 설교현장에도 긍정적으로 적용할 수 있는 중요한 모티브가 될 수 있다. 설교와 기독(목회)상담은 기본적으로 소통을 전제로 이루어진다. 따라서 이 두 실천신학 분야의 만남은 서로에게 도움이 될 수 있는 의미 있는 결과를 기대할 수 있을 것이다. 설교와 상담이라는 실천신학의 세부분야는 서로가 호혜적인 관계로 상보적 결과를 만들어 낼 수 있는 기반을 가지고 있다. 이런 관계와 결과를 얻기 위해 상호주관성이라는 개념을 공통분모로 활용했다. 본 연구는 설교 선포에서 회중의 역할을 방향성이라는 측면에서 접근했다. 이 방향성을 보다 객관적이고 체계적으로 보기 위한 방안으로 전통적인 일방향적 시각에서 양방향 또는 다방향적 시각을 객관적으로 보기 위해 설교학과 기독(목회)상담학의 학문적 틀을 통해 실천신학적 접근을 시도했다. 또한 한국의 목회현장와 상황을 고려하여 연구의 내용이 실제적으로 적용될 수 있는 내용을 제안했다.
Abstract
This paper aims to examine the changing roles and positions of the congregation (participants) in the fields of Christian(pastoral) counseling and preaching, which are domains within practical theology. Specifically, within the discipline of homiletics (preaching studies), there have been significant changes in the roles of preachers and the congregation over the past half-century. The shift from a unidirectional preaching style to a more interactive relationship between the preacher and the congregation is considered a pivotal aspect of this transformation. The identified changes in the dynamics of preaching delivery are seen as a motivating factor that can positively influence the preaching setting by incorporating significant experiences from the relationship between the counselor and clients in Christian(pastoral) counseling. Both preaching and pastoral counseling fundamentally operate on the premise of communication, and the convergence of these two realms is anticipated to yield mutually beneficial and meaningful outcomes. Recognizing the potential for reciprocal results in these specific areas of practical theology, the concept of intersubjectivity has been employed as a common denominator. This study approaches the subject by focusing on the congregation's role in the proclamation of sermons. To achieve a more objective and systematic perspective, the research attempts a practical theological approach through the academic frameworks of homiletics and Christian(pastoral) counseling. Furthermore, practical suggestions for the application of the research content in the context of the Korean pastoral field and its circumstances are proposed.
