18세기 어느 울산부사를 통해 본 지방관 글쓰기의 실제 - 淸臺 權相一의 울산부사 시절을 중심으로 -

Abstract

This thesis is focused on how the writing of specific point of time has its own peculiarities and gets accomplished in an individual's deeds of one's predecessors being in office as local officials. The local officials spent very busy day by carrying out works such as attendance, business trip, and welcoming visitors, and so on, and they not only did regular work regulations but also handled administration more than it has settled. This thesis examines how, when, and in which manner of their writing got done, and adopts CheongDae Kwon, Sang-Il who was a man in Nam In party and held consecutively served as Ulsan Busa for three years and eight months. Kwon, Sang-Il attempted writing classified by official and private affairs of writing characteristics in busy daily work routine as local official. He was trying to write personal writing of his taste in off hours avoiding work hours, and he was trying to write official writings as extension of business without pressure on time. Also, recognized variously main ego based on when, why, and how he writes. The writings that he wrote when he was a local official were multilateral. That was accomplished compounded by time, place, and motivation instead of consistent aspect. The main ego of writing shows slight difference. Keeping a journal, his personal writing that he did not have to be conscious of other people, expressed daily descriptions without adding and subtracting, and sometimes revealed his inner emotion. Since writing letters was delivering his situation to other person, its expression was more direct and clear. Although the contents in the letter was official domain, the act itself was very personal. So, He seems that he straightened himself out as a local official, expressed his own pain and uneasiness, confessed anxiety as a government official, and sometimes resigned through writing letters. The literary writing was mainly focused on versification, and divided into individual's pure taste and extension of official behavior as a local official. Kwon, Sang-Il showed slight difference in point of view in this two boundary. Poems with individual taste pursue literary intention and desire in general standpoint of a Confucian scholar, and the poems that he was conscious of position of the local official were about natural attitude, warning and encouragement on local students of Confucianism related to encourage learning In broad meaning, there is a thread of connection between the two in one writer's writing, but it shows definite difference in consciousness of poem that the position acts as a local official. The pieces of writings that met with political and social demand as local official were mostly aware of other people. Of course, even though the writer's reason and experience was not revealed outwardly, external description was too superficial that reflect official determination to make success in life. The writings that he publicly wrote were complicatedly entangled political situation at that time, domestic and foreign realities of the region, and duty as local official, and basic intention as Confucianism scholar. When this reveals on externally, it needed refining of senses. The reality of circumstances that he was faced with as newly appointed Ulsan Busa accompanied regular change in both public and personal part in large, and the insignificant change was constantly happening in life in small. The writing in daily basis of local official spreads influence that comes with every kinds of aspects, and gets realized elastically by purpose and types of writings and motivation of writing.
