일어일문학과 교육과정 개선방안 연구 -C대학 학습자 수요조사 결과를 중심으로-

Abstract

This research endeavor is centered on conducting a survey among students specializing in Japanese Language and Literature at C University. Its objective is to ascertain the demand for major education and to delineate avenues for enhancing the major curriculum. To this end, responses obtained from a sample of 92 current students and 9 graduates were meticulously analyzed. The findings from the survey illuminate that the existing Japanese Language and Literature major curriculum adequately fulfills students' high expectations with regards to knowledge enrichment, foundational theory instruction, and the advancement of knowledge and critical thinking skills. However, inadequacies are discerned in the systematic structuring of major subjects, appropriate calibration of difficulty levels, the diversification of major course offerings, curriculum management inclusive of course evaluation, comprehension of societal changes, practical applicability in daily life, and the delivery of career-focused and pragmatic major education. These components either fail to meet students' high demands or garner lower satisfaction ratings. In light of the survey's outcomes, this paper offers three recommendations for the enhancement of the Japanese Language and Literature major curriculum. First, prioritizing career-oriented and practical education alongside theoretical education is important in future revisions of the Japanese Language and Literature major curriculum. Second, pursing the practical and integrated adaptation of the curriculum based on popular topics especially in the fields of Japanese literature and Japanese studies is recommended. Lastly, implementing customized tracks in accordance with the career plans of current students after graduation is necessary.
