본 연구는 국악과 미술을 중심으로 한국 전통 문화예술에 내재한 미의식을 도출하고, 이를 생애주기별 문화 예술교육 관점에서 체계화함으로써 전통 문화예술 교육의 새로운 가능성을 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 첫 째, 국악과 미술에 나타난 미의식을 문헌 기반으로 분석하고 정제성, 신명성, 즉흥성, 해학성, 상징성의 공통 핵심 요소를 도출하였다. 둘째, 음악과 미술의 발달 이론을 바탕으로 유아기부터 노년기에 이르는 생애주기별 발달 특성을 분석하였다. 셋째, 도출된 미의식 요소를 각 생애주기에 적합한 교육 방향으로 재구성하여 미의식 교육의 적용 가능성을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 단일 예술 장르에 국한하지 않고 국악과 미술의 융합으로 전통 미의식의 통합적 해석과 교육적 활용 가능성을 모색했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 또한, 전 생애를 아우르는 생애주기별 미의식 교육 방향을 제 시함으로써, 향후 통합 예술교육 프로그램 개발을 위한 이론적 기반을 마련하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to explore new possibilities for traditional arts and culture education by identifying the aesthetic consciousness embedded in Korean traditional arts, focusing on gugak and traditional visual art, and systematizing it from an educational perspective. First, the study analyzes aesthetic el- ements found in gugak and traditional Korean art through literature review and identifies five core aesthetic values: refinement, dynamic engagement(shinmyeong), improvisation, humor, and symbolism. Second, it investigates the developmental characteristics of different life stages, from early childhood to old age, based on music and art education theories. Third, it suggests age-appropriate educational directions by reconstructing the identified aesthetic values for each stage of life. This study is significant in that it does not limit itself to a single genre of art but seeks integrative interpretations and educational applications of traditional aesthetics through the fusion of gugak and traditional Korean visual art. Furthermore, by proposing a framework for arts and culture education by life stage, this research offers a theoretical foundation for the development of integrated arts edu- cation programs in the future.
