본 연구는 2019년부터 2025년까지 국내 학술지에 발표된 비교과 관련 논문을 대상으로 텍스트 마이닝 기법을 적용하여 연구 동향과 핵심 주제 구조를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. RISS에서 수집된 325편의 논문 중 국문 초록이 포함된 311편을 분석 대상으로 하여 핵심 단어 빈도 분석, TF-IDF, N-gram 네트워크 분석, CONCOR 분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과 비교과 연구는 ‘프로그램–교육–대학–학습–참여–운영’의 키워드를 중심으로 활발히 전개되고 있으며 특히 ‘글쓰기’, ‘교육과정’, ‘역랑’ 등의 단어가 TF-IDF 분석에서 높은 중요도를 보였다. N-gram 분석에서는 ‘교과–연계–프로그램’, ‘창의–융합–역량’, ‘학업 –자기–효능감’ 등 비교과와 교과의 연계성, 창의 융합 역량, 자기주도 학습 등 주요 연구 주제 간의 구조적 관계가 확인되었다. CONCOR 분석에서는 비교과 연구가 프로그램 설계 –운영–성과 분석의 품질 체계의 4개 그룹으로 단어 군집이 생김을 확인하였다. 비교과 프로그램이 교과 교육과 연계되어 역량 기반 교육 체계를 강화하며, 학생의 역량 개발 및 학습 성과 향상을 위한 실증 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 국내 비교과 연구 동향을 분석하여 향후 비교과 프로그램 개발, 정책 수립, 운영 관리의 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있다는 점에서 의의를 지닌다.
Abstract
This study aims to analyze research trends and the thematic structure of extracurricular studies published in Korean academic journals from 2019 to 2025 by applying text mining techniques. Among 325 articles retrieved from the RISS database, 311 articles containing Korean abstracts were selected for analysis. Word frequency analysis, TF-IDF, N-gram network analysis, and CONCOR clustering were conducted to examine core patterns in the research corpus. The results show that extracurricular research has been actively developed around the keywords “program,” “education,” “university,” “learning,” “participation,” and “operation.” In particular, terms such as “writing,” “curriculum,” and “competency” demonstrated high importance in the TF-IDF analysis. N-gram analysis identified structural relationships among major research themes, including “curriculum– linkage–program,” “creativity–convergence–competency,” and “academic–self– efficacy,” indicating strong associations between extracurricular activities and curricular integration, creativity and convergence competencies, and self-directed learning. The CONCOR analysis revealed four clusters, reflecting a quality system encompassing program design, operation, and outcome analysis. The findings confirm that extracurricular programs increasingly align with curricular education to strengthen competency-based learning models, while empirical research on student competency development and learning outcomes continues to expand. This study offers meaningful insights into domestic research trends on extracurricular education and provides a foundational resource for future program development, policy design, and operational management.
