Dance education in Korea places significant emphasis on practical training deeply rooted in the physical expression and nurturing mentor- ship dynamics within the dance community. Commencing at an early age, this education necessitates pedagogical methods that embrace intimate physical contact, extending beyond mere verbal explanations to encom- pass demonstrations and corrections of the body. Despite the global reso- nance of movements like #MeToo, substantial progress in terms of re- search and initiatives addressing harassment and violence within the spheres of dance education remains elusive. In this context, this research endeavors to lay the groundwork for a se- cure, inclusive, and equitable environment within dance education. This study aims to grasp the unique context and intricacies of gender-based vi- olence within the realm of dance while also delving into the case studies that have effectively confronted these issues.
