글로벌 가치사슬 재편에 따른 신남방지역 생산네트워크 분석에 관한 연구: 부가가치 무역을 중심으로

글로벌 가치사슬은 제품생산의 비용 절감을 위하여 생산단계를 나누어 가장 효율적인 국가에 배치하는 것으로 미·중 무역분쟁으로 인한 리스크 해소를 위하여 신남방지역을 중심으로 세계교역이 확대되고 있다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 중국에 대한 교역의존도가 높은 상황에서 한국이 글로벌 통상환경 불확실성을 해소하고 안정적인 공급망 확보를 위하여 신남방지역과의 산업협력 강화 방안을 검토하는 것이다. 본 연구에서 국제산업연관표를 이용하여 신남방지역의 가치사슬을 분석한 결과 신남방지역 부가가치 수출에서 국내 부가가치의 비중이 가장 높았으며, 인도는 화학산업, 인도네시아는 광업, 말레이시아·싱가포르·필리핀·태국·베트남은 전자기기 산업에서 부가가치가 창출되었다. 본 연구는 글로벌 통상환경의 변화로 글로벌 가치사슬이 재편되는 상황에서 신남방지역의 가치사슬을 분석하여 신남방지역의 생산네트워크를 이해하고 한국과 신남방지역의 경제협력 강화에 관한 학문적 연구의 토대가 될 것으로 생각된다.
Abstract
The global value chain involves dividing production stages and assigning them to the most efficient countries to reduce production costs. To mitigate risks from the U.S.-China trade dispute, world trade is expanding with a focus on the New Southern Region. The purpose of this study is to examine strategies to strengthen industrial cooperation with the New Southern Region, helping Korea reduce its dependency on China, address global trade uncertainties, and secure a stable supply chain. Using international input-output tables, the study analyzed the value chains of the New Southern Region. The findings revealed that the domestic value-added proportion is highest in the region's value-added exports. Specifically, India excels in the chemical industry, Indonesia in mining, and Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam in the electronics industry. This study aims to provide an academic foundation for understanding the production network of the New Southern Region and for enhancing economic cooperation between Korea and the New Southern Region amidst the evolving global trade environment and restructured global value chains.
