The relationship between paste shrimps vessel and its carrier is essential in order to accomplish the purpose of fishing business effectively. According to paste shrimp catching in Bigeumdo area(the first starting of past shrimp catching), its carrier business also started in the early 1970's. The carrier business started with paste shrimps catching had been preserved for 30 years with ups and downs, declined in the early 2000's due to the development of transportation means, and loading and unloading system of paste shrimps container, and closed in 2008. The paste shrimps carriers of Bigeumdo were small scale, compared to the near islands due to poor production of paste shrimps. But its business had a remarkable characteristic. The relation between paste shrimps vessel and its carrier was like one corporation which involved production, distribution and the sale of products. On the other hand, paste shrimps carriers are now prevalent in other islands area - Nakweoldo, Imjado, Uido - near Bigeumdo area. The study about these carriers would be expected in the near future as a means to compare it with Bigeumdo islands carrier.
