투자와 투자를 구성하는 재화들은 구체적 대상이 아닌 개념적 대상으로서 실체가 없다. 은유는 이러한 실체가 없는 개념을 설명하는 데에 유용한 개념으로 이해되어 왔다. 이 글은 최근 사회·경제적으로 열풍을 일으킨 주식 및 가상화폐 투자에 관련된 표현들을 살펴 그 속에 나타난 한국어 사용자의 개념화 방식을 살피는 것을 목적으로 한다. 투자 관련 표현에서는 개념적 은유와 개념적 혼성을 모두 확인할 수 있었다. 개념적 은유 중 고체와 액체를 근원 영역으로 하는 존재론적 은유를 확인할 수 있었으며, [좋은 것은 위, 나쁜 것은 아래]의 지향적 은유, [투자는 전쟁이다], [투자 종목을 탈것이다]라는 구조적 은유를 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 ‘동학개미운동’은 개념적 혼성을 통한 것임을 분석해 낼 수 있었다. 투자 시장에 새롭게 등장한 표현과 그 속에 반영된 은유적 개념을 통해 주식과 가상 화폐를 대하는 투자자들의 인식을 파악할 수 있었으며, 낯선 세계를 이해하는 데에 도움이 되는 은유의 효용성을 확인할 수 있었다.
Abstract
The goods that make up investment and investment are conceptual objects, not specific objects, so there is no substance. Metaphor is a useful concept in explaining this concept without substance. The purpose of this article is to check the expressions related to investment in stocks and virtual currency, which have recently caused a social and economic craze, and to find out the conceptualization method of Korean users reflected in them. In investment-related expressions, both conceptual metaphors and conceptual blending appeared. Among the conceptual metaphors, ontological metaphors with solids and liquids as the source area were identified, orientation methphor such as [good things are up, bad things are down], and structural metaphors such as [investment is war], and [investment stocks is vehicle]. And it can analyze that the ‘Donghak-gaemi-undong’ was created through conceptual blending. Investors’ perceptions of stocks and virtual currency could be grasped through newly emerging expressions in the investment market and metaphorical concepts reflected in them. And we can found the effectiveness of the metaphor that helps me understand the unfamiliar world.
