Abstract
This research text is composed of a storied account where elementary children make human rights awareness and practice their awareness in a space of narrative inquiry. The existing moral education has exerted efforts not only to define children's morality more in a decontextualized or in a universal language but also to educate children to function in the predetermined way or so. Apart from this paradigm, this research, however, provided a space of narrative inquiry where children actively and freely could construct storied lives by inquiring into the self, others, and how to relate these two elements in an inductive way. Specifically, the homeroom teacher provided children with a narrative inquiry space where 5th graders dialogue, experience, and practice with one another with the help of books, newspapers, small scale projects, interviews, audio-visuals related to human rights education. Children wrote reflective stories in a sketchbook on a weekly basis which were shared through reflective post-its, dialogues, and display. This text provides readers not only with children's moral narratives in their inquiry journey but also with how to plan a narrative curriculum.
