외국어로서의 한국어 번역 교육에 관한 일고찰 -일한 번역을 중심으로-

연구 목적: 본 연구는 보다 높은 수준의, 더욱 전문화된 한국어에 대한 수요에 대응하는 하나의 방법으로 한국어 번역 교육에 대해 논하고자 한다. 연구 방법: 이를 위해 기존에 이루어진 번역 능력 및 번역 교육과 관련된 연구물, 전문 번역 교육과 학습 번역에 대해 이론들을 조사하고 분석하였다. 연구 내용: 본고는 전문 번역 교육에서 벗어나 문법-번역식 교수법의 이점을 살리는 방식에 대해 새로이 논의하였으며, 구체적인 교육 원리 및 내용에 대해 제안하기 위해 일한 번역을 중심으로 번역 교육에 대한 아이디어를 제시하였다. 결론 및 제언: 번역은 그 활동 자체가 교육적으로 높은 가치를 지닌다. 특히 한국어 교육에서 번역의 활용은 학습자의 한국어 의사소통의 기회를 늘리고, 모국어와 한국어 사이의 소통적 상호작용이 가능하도록 한다. 또한 상호문화주의적 관점에서 자국의 문화와 목표 언어권의 문화를 숙고하게 한다는 점에서도 가치를 찾을 수 있다.
Abstract
This study aims to discuss Korean translation education as a way to respond to the demand for a higher level of Korean. To this end, theories were investigated and analyzed on research materials related to translation competence and translation education, professional translation education, and pedagogic translation. This paper discussed how to take advantage of grammar-translation teaching methods away from professional translation education, and presented ideas for translation education centered on Japanese-Korean translation to suggest specific educational principles and contents. The translation itself has a high educational value. In particular, the use of translation in Korean language education increases learners' opportunities for Korean communication and enables the communication between their native language and Korean. In addition, value can be found in that it makes people consider their own culture and the culture of the target language from an intercultural perspective.
