초록

본 연구는 대학 수업의 질적 개선 및 평가에 필요한 도구로써 티칭 포트폴리오 개발에 필요한 구성요소(components)를 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 Seldin (2004)이 분류한 티칭 포트폴리오 범주를 참조하였으며, 국내외 선행연구와 자료들을 종합적으로 분석하여 우리나라 대학 상황에 맞는 티칭 포트폴리오 구성요소를 선정, 제시하고자 하였다. 본 연구를 위해 Delphi 조사 방법을 통해 국내 전문가 집단과 2008년 3월-9월까지 티칭 포트폴리오 개발에 참여한 교수자들의 의견을 종합적으로 수집, 분석하였다. 본 연구의 절차는 관련 문헌고찰과 선행연구 및 자료분석을 통해 추출된 17개의 티칭 포트폴리오 구성요소를 전문가들로부터 항목별 1차 내용타당도 검증을 받은 후, 티칭 포트폴리오 구성요소 선정을 위한 2차 의견조사(우선순위도)를 실시하였다. 2차 의견조사 결과를 바탕으로 우선순위별 구성요소에 따라 필수, 선택, 권장요소로 구분하여 3차 의견조사(적합도)를 실시한 결과, 자신에 의해 수집되는 자료(필수요소 5개), 타인으로부터 수집되는 자료(필수요소 3개 및 권장요소 1개), 자기성찰 자료(필수요소 2개), 부록(권장요소 1개) 등 총 12개(필수요소 10개, 권장요소 2개)를 티칭 포트폴리오 최종 구성요소로 선정하였다. 본 연구를 통해 선정된 티칭 포트폴리오 구성요소는 일반적으로 티칭 포트폴리오 개발에 포함될 수 있는 필수 및 선택, 권장요소로 각 대학에서 수업 개선과 평가를 목적으로 티칭 포트폴리오를 개발(작성)하고자 할 때 유용한 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다. 아울러 이들 구성요소를 중심으로 개발된 티칭 포트폴리오는 차후 교육업적평가를 비롯하여 우수수업상(Best Teaching Award) 선정에 필요한 질적 평가자료로도 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore common components for the teaching portfolio development as an alternative plan for qualitative improvement and evaluation of instruction in higher education. For these, I would select general components which are required on developing the teaching portfolio based on components of the teaching portfolio suggested by Seldin(2004). And I would propose common components for the teaching portfolio to apply to each university in our country. For this study the Delphi survey method was conducted three times with a specialist group and professors who participate in the teaching portfolio development from March to June, 2008. In the frist content validity verification, 19 components of the teaching portfolio were selected from a specialist group. In the second priority survey, these were classified into essential, optional and recommendable components. In the third survey, Twelve components were finally selected as the teaching portfolio components within four categories(five components from oneself, four components from others, two components for self-reflection and one appendix). these are divided into ten essential components and two recommendable components. components which required for developing the teaching portfolio are twelve as follows; ① Teaching philosophy, ② Teaching Objectives, ③ Teaching planning, ④ Teaching methodologies, ⑤ Course materials, ⑥ Outcomes on teaching, ⑦ Teaching evaluation materials, ⑧ Feedback between teacher and student, ⑨ Classroom observation materials by colleagues or instruction specialists, ⑩ Analysis of teaching performance, ⑪ Analysis of teaching evaluation, and ⑫ Appendices(Efforts for improving teaching competency). The teaching portfolio will contribute to improve the quality of instruction as well as the qualitative evaluation in higher education from now on. I expect that these components will provide a specific guideline for the teaching portfolio development and can be applied to evaluate and select not only teaching accomplishments but also Best Teaching Awards in each university.
