사회애의 정의에 대한 도덕교육적 함의

사회에 대한 사랑, 즉 사회애는 사회의 공동선을 위한 근본 덕목으로서, 구성원들 각자에게 제 몫을 부여하는바 정의를 실현하는 데 요구된다. 사회애와 정의의 관계에 대해서 양자 간에 아무런 긴장이 없다거나 혹은 서로 모순된다는 논의들이 있지만, 사회애는 사회의 정의를 위해 본질적으로 필요한 규범이다. 도덕과 교육과정 역시 실제로 사회에 대한 관심과 애정을 강조하며, 사회 윤리의 관련 영역에서 정의의 문제를 함께 다루고 있다. 진심으로 사회를 사랑하는 일이 사회 정의 실현의 전제로 주어지는 셈이다.
Abstract
Social love is a fundamental virtue or norm for the common good of society, which is required to realize the justice meaning to give each member of society his due. The relation between social love and justice has been discussed; there is no tension between two, or they are incompatible. Social love is necessary to social justice. Up to the present the curriculum of moral studies also has emphasized the concern and affection to the society, and dealt with the problem of justice in its related contents of social ethics. The true social love can be said a premise to the social justice.
