통합교육환경에서의 장애ㆍ비장애 대학생들이 지각하고 있는 사회적 거리감의 요인에 관한 연구

본 연구의 목적은 통합교육환경에서의 장애ㆍ비장애 대학생들이 지각하고 있는 사회적 거리감의 요인을 심층적으로 파악함으로써, 장애 학생들과 비장애 학생들의 사회적 거리감을 체계적으로 줄일 수 있는 방안을 강구하고 나아가 진정한 사회통합이 이뤄지도록 하는 데 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 P시 소재 H대학에 재학하고 있는 재학생 중 장애학생 7명과 비장애 학생 8명 등 총 15명이며, 이들을 대상으로 각각 2회씩 개별 면담을 실시하여 얻은 자료를 토대로 영역분석, 분류분석, 및 성분분석의 절차를 거쳐 자료의 의미를 도출하였다. 그 결과 통합교육환경의 장애ㆍ비장애 대학생들이 지각하고 있는 사회적 거리감의 요인은 장애학생에 대한 비장애 학생들의 이해부족, 장애학생들의 소극적 태도, 장애학생에 대한 비장애 학생들의 배려부족, 비장애 학생들이 장애학생들을 무시하거나 소외시키는 행동, 장애학생에 적합하지 않는 수업방식, 지나치게 도움을 받으려 하거나 의존하려는 장애학생의 태도, 장애학생이 도움을 받지 않으려 하거나, 비장애 학생이 지나치게 도움을 주려 하는 경우, 시설 및 설비 등 장애인에 대한 사회 환경이 제대로 갖춰지지 않았을 때 주로 발생하는 것으로 확인되었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to conduct an in-depth survey on the factors of social distance perceived between the handicapped and the non-handicapped undergraduates both under the integration education environment to seek a measure to systematically decrease the social distances between the said two types of undergraduates, and further, achieve a realistic social integration. A total of 15 students consisting of seven handicapped students and eight non- handicapped students of all undergraduates at University H in City P were surveyed through the interviews that were conducted twice for each one respectively, and based on these interview materials, the area analysis, classification analysis and element analysis were conducted to finally gain the significances of the aforesaid interview materials. As a result, it is confirmed the social distance shown enough to be recognized by the handicapped and non-handicapped undergraduates under the perfection integration education environment often occur during the following cases: the non-handicapped do not understand the handicapped enough; the handicapped show a passive attitude; the non-handicapped are not considerate to the handicapped enough; the non-handicapped ignore of or depacinate the handicapped; a class proceeds with in a style inappropriate to the handicapped; the handicapped show an attitude to excessively be dependent on or desire to get help from the non- handicapped; the handicapped are reluctant to get a help or the non-handicapped show an excessive kind manner to the handicapped; the social environment such as the installations or facilities are not be well prepared.
