본 연구의 목적은 국어교육 내 다른 연구 분야에 비하여 구체적이고 다양한 연구의 성과가 아직은 미진한 분야인 교수·학습 방법 중, ‘내용교수법’에 대한 관점을 정립하고 이를 실제 수업에서 적용할 방안을 찾고자 하는 데 있다. ‘내용교수법’은 ‘pedagogical content knowledge’를 번역한 용어로서, 일반적으로는 특정 학생들의 이해를 촉진할 수 있도록 특정 내용을 가르치는 방법에 대한 교사의 지식이라고 정의된다. 이 연구에서는 교사의 지식을 구성하는 일련의 가설적 영역들로 구성된 모델을 제안하면서 이론적으로 발전해 온 ‘내용교수법’에 대하여, 국어교육 관점에서 이론적으로 검토하고 이를 문법 지도에서 구현할 수 있도록 내용교수법의 개발 방향과 수업 장면에서의 실제적 의의를 탐색하고자 하였다. 이와 관련하여 본 연구에서는 내용교수법의 이론적 배경, 그리고 실제 문법 수업에 적용할 수 있는 내용틀을 구안하고 그에 대한 예시를 제시함으로써 문법 교육을 위한 내용교수법적 접근 방식을 보여주고자 하였다. 교사가 가진 고유한 전문 영역으로 규정될 수 있는 내용교수법은, 현장 교사들이 실제 수업을 통하여 다양한 지도 자료를 발굴하거나 또는 효과적인 지도 방법을 개발하는 과정에서 구현될 수 있다. 그리고 이러한 과정 속에서 교사의 전문 영역이 재정립되고 실질적 의미를 지닐 수 있는 국어 교수법 개선이 이루어질 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
Abstract
Contents teaching methods(Naeyong Kyosoobyeop)’ is a term translated from ‘Pedagogical Contents Knowledge’, and it means that it is teachers's knowledge related to methods how to teach students in order to expedite their understanding. The aim of this study is reconstructing viewpoint about teaching learning method which is not developed a lot in Korean education, and is finding out solution to be adapted directly into Korean education. To do this, this research shows some models constructed by a series of hypothetical domains and describe ‘contents teaching methods’ for Korean education. In addition to, this searches for practical meaning in the Korean grammar class. Therefore, this study includes theoretical backgrounds about ‘contents teaching methods’, ‘contents frame’, and ‘illustration’ to apply into the class. ‘Contents teaching methods’ is a field which teachers can work professionally and independently. In this viewpoint, ‘contents teaching methods’ should be developed in the class. Teachers are able to search for proper methods through the class and to organize the best contents methods. Furthermore, these processes should be companied with classroom evaluation. This study expects Korean language teaching methods will become improved more through like this research.
