이 연구는 텍스트 네트워크 분석 방법을 통해 대학생의 말하기와 글쓰기에 대한 인식을 살펴보는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 좋은 말하기 및 배우고 싶은 말하기, 좋은 글쓰기 및 배우고 싶은 글쓰기에 대한 인식을 조사하고, 주제어를 추출하여 주제어 간 중심 구조와 응집 구조를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 대학생들은 말하기와 글쓰기에 있어 공통적으로 의사소통의 필수 요소를 뚜렷하게 인지하고 있었고, 수행의 관점에서 전달적 개념에 다소 치우친 인식을 보이고 있었다. 배우고 싶어 하는 기능이 발표와 보고서 등 평가와 직결되어 있다는 점 또한 비슷했다. 한편, 말하기와 글쓰기 인식에서 나타난 차이는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 말하기의 경우 좋은 말하기 인식과 배우고 싶은 말하기 인식이 다른 양상을 보이는 반면, 글쓰기의 경우 좋은 글쓰기 인식이 배우고 싶은 글쓰기까지 대체로 유지되며 비슷한 양상을 보이고 있었다. 둘째, 말하기와 글쓰기 인식에서 나타난 주제어와 응집 구조를 살펴보면 말하기 인식은 과정 지향적 특성이, 글쓰기 인식은 결과 지향적 특성이 두드러졌다. 이러한 두 의사소통 기능의 보편성과 특수성을 바탕으로 인식 내용을 범주화하고 교육 내용을 추출하여 교육 방안을 마련할 수 있다면 교육적 전이 효과 또한 높을 것이다. 또한 대학생들의 의사소통 인식을 보다 확장하기 위해 교육 내용 및 교수 학습 방법 다양화 등의 노력이 필요하며, 발표, 토론, 보고서 및 연구논문 쓰기 등 평가 요소와 밀접한 그들의 교육 요구를 실제 교육 현장에 적극적으로 반영할 필요가 있을 것이다. 본 연구는 대학생의 말하기와 글쓰기 인식을 종합적으로 살펴봄으로써 대학의 의사소통 교육에 실제적으로 도움을 줄 수 있는 기초를 마련하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine college students' perceptions of speaking and writing through text network analysis methods. To this end, we investigated the perception of good speaking and speaking that we want to learn, good writing, and writing that we want to learn, and analyzed the central structure and cohesion structure between subject words by extracting them. As a result of the study, college students were clearly aware of the essential elements of communication in common with speaking and writing, and showed a somewhat biased perception of the concept of delivery from the perspective of performance. It was also similar in that the functions you wanted to learn were directly related to evaluations such as presentations and reports. On the other hand, the difference between speaking and writing perception is as follows. First, in the case of speaking, the perception of good speaking and the perception of wanting to learn were different, while in the case of writing, the perception of good writing was generally maintained until the writing that wanted to learn, showing a similar pattern. Second, when looking at the subject words and cohesion structure in speech and writing recognition, speech recognition had process-oriented characteristics, and writing recognition had result-oriented characteristics. Based on the universality and specificity of these two communication functions, if it is possible to categorize recognition contents and extract educational contents to prepare educational measures, the educational transfer effect will also be high. In addition, in order to further expand college students' communication awareness, efforts are needed to diversify educational content and teaching and learning methods, and their educational needs, which are closely related to evaluation elements such as presentations, discussions, writing reports and research papers, must be reflected in actual educational settings. This study is meaningful in that it laid the foundation for practical help in communication education at universities by comprehensively examining college students' perception of speaking and writing.
