Abstract

This article aims to track the simultaneity of the concept of ‘Non-object’ within the entire structure of Lee Seung-hun’s essay on poetry. The entire composition of Lee Seung-hun(1942－2018)’s poetics is ranked within “Theory of Poetry, Modernism theory of poetry, Postmodernism theory of poetry, Deconstruction theory of poetry, Modern poetry and aethetics of endism and Zen theory of poetry”. The poetic composition is an expression that emphasizes the strong nature of avant-garde poetry that translates declarative logic within the structure of subject, object and language. In the course of this change, a notable individual review is submitted, which is the Non-object Poetics(1981). In this article, the non-objective concepts of the 1970s, the non-object concepts concluded in 1981, and the non-object concepts of the late 1980s and later were carefully summarized and compared to the poets’ own logic of poetics. As a result, it was confirmed that the poet redefined the ‘non-object’ concept whenever he changed the epistemological and methodological framework for poetry. This provides an important clue to Lee Seung-hun’s research. First, it is necessary to separate the composition of poetry provided by poets, the interpretation of poetry, and the theory of poetry. The second is that the reputation of the theory and the semantic ambiguity of the poem need to be approached separately from the discipline of interpretation. The remaining task is to expand the discussion of this article to “Zen and avant-garde and Degree zero poetics”, which Lee Seung-hun devoted himself to right before his death.
