탐구적 답사에 미치는 사전조사의 영향을 밝히는 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 사전 조사의 영향은 답사의 전 과정에 미치지만 특히 예비과정, 그 중에서도 문제인식에 크게 나타난다. 사전조사가 그것에 미친 영향은 문제인식의 명료성, 구성의 신속성과 합리성이다. 사전조사의 영향은 심리적·실행적 두 측면에서 나타난다. 심리적 측면은 사전조사에 따라 자신감, 적극성, 능동성, 목적 지향성과 합리성이라는 긍정적 측면으로 나타나기도 하고, 무력감, 막막함, 의타성, 맹목적성이라는 부정적 측면으로 나타나기도 한다. 심리적 측면에 따르는 실행적 측면 역시 뚜렷한 목적과 과정간 연계가 뛰어난 자기주도적인 답사가 되기도 하고, 의타적이고 수동적이며 맹목적적인 답사가 되기도 한다. 사전조사를 이끄는 참여 동기는 내·외적 요인에 의해 이루어진다. 외적 요인은 답사 주관자가 제공하는 답사의 목적, 성격, 답사 대상과 과정 등이며, 내적 요인은 답사자가 외적요인과 지속적으로 접촉하면서 생긴 탐구 대상에 대해 알고 싶은 내적 호기심과 탐구 문제를 해결하고 싶은 도전의식이다. 이들이 상호작용하면서 참여동기가 형성되면서 사전조사가 이루어진다.
Abstract
This study aims to illuminate the effects of preliminary expedition on the inquiry-based field trip. The results of this study are as following. The effects of preliminary expedition were strongly influential in the preliminary stage of an inquiry-based field trip, particularly the problem identification. These effects were categorized into the two categories: the clarity of problem identification and the promptness/rationality of solution construction. The effects of preliminary expedition could also be approached in the psychological and practical dimensions. The psychological dimension encompassed both positive effects including confidence, initiative, activeness, goal-orientation, and rationality and negative effects including helplessness, sense of loss, dependency, and blindness. The practical dimension refers to the effects of preliminary expedition which lead to either goal-oriented, well-organized, and self-motivated field trips and dependent, passive, and blind activities. The participation motivations to such a preliminary expedition is developed by internal and external factors. The internal factors are participants’ internal curiosity and challenges toward the field trip, and the external factors include the goal, characteristics, objects, and process of the field trip. The formation and development of such participation motivations, the results of the interaction between those internal and external factors, lead to the preliminary expedition.
