Abstract
Amakseong Fortress, which Silla first occupied and secured, is now called Seongnisanseong Fortress located in Ayeong-myeon, Namwon-si. Considering that Baekje attacked Amakseong Fortress in 602, securing Amakseong Fortress in Silla was before that. In 577, Silla defeated the Baekje army, which invaded the western part of its country, in the north of Gumi. Shortly after that, in 578, Silla attacked Alyasanseong Fortress, located in Nangsan-myeon, Iksan. In view of this, the radius of military activities between Baekje and Silla was much wider than expected, and the boundary line was quite flexible. Silla seems to have entered the Amakseong Fortress section during the period of advancing to Iksan Alyasanseong Fortress between 565 and 578. However, it seems that the economic aspect of securing iron-producing areas in the Unbong Plateau and Janggye Basin was largely considered. However, Baekje's fierce attack, which could not ignore these economic benefits. It is said that Gajamseong Fortress, which is related to the eastern front of Baekje, was located on the route from Iksan to Gimcheon. This is because Gajamseong Fortress was located in a key point of the passage where the Amakseong Fortress, which Silla first occupied and secured, is now called Seongnisanseong Fortress located in Ayeong-myeon, Namwon-si. This is because Gajamseong Fortress was located in a key point of the passage where the Silla government forces headed north toward Iksan Toseong Fortress to suppress the rebellion of the people of Bodeokseong Fortress.
