청소년의 학교폭력 피해와 사이버폭력 가해관계: 사이버폭력 피해 매개효과

초록

본 연구는 청소년의 학교폭력과 사이버폭력의 관련성을 탐색하고자 하였다. 구체적으로 학교폭력 피해는 사이버폭력 가해에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 그리고 사이버폭력 피해는 학교폭력 피해와 사이버폭력 가해와의 관계에서 매개역할을 하는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위한 분석자료는 2개 광역시와 3개 소도시에 거주하는 중․고등학교 재학생 총 1,303명으로부터 수집하였고 AMOS를 활용하여 구조방정식모형으로 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학교폭력 피해수준이 높을수록 불특정인과 특정인에 대한 사이버폭력 가해수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 사이버폭력 피해는 학교폭력 피해와 사이버폭력 가해와의 관계에서 매개역할을 하였다. 이는 학교폭력 피해는 온라인폭력 피해에 정적인 영향을 미침에 따라 불특정인과 특정인에 대한 사이버폭력 가해의 가능성을 높이는 것으로, 온라인폭력 피해가 강한 영향력이 있음을 확인하였다. 이에 본 연구는 청소년들이 오프라인폭력 피해와 사이버폭력 피해를 동시에 경험하면서 가해자가 되는 경로를 밝혔다는 점에서 정책적인 시사점을 갖는다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between youth school-violence and cyber-violence. It's specifically meant to investigate the influence of school-violence victimization on cyber-violence behavior and the mediating effects of cyber-violence victimization on the relationship between school-violence victimization and cyber-violence behavior. The subjects in this study were 1,303 selected secondary school students who resided in two metropolitan cities and three small cities. After data were gathered, structural equation modeling was utilized to analyze the collected data. The findings of the study were as follows: First, more school-violence victimization led to more cyber-violence behavior toward specified and unspecified people. Namely, the experience of suffering school-violence victimization was bound up with the risk of online-violence behavior in the adolescents. Second, the factor of cyber-violence victimization played a mediating role in the relationship between school-violence victimization and cyber-violence behavior. It implied that school-violence victimization was followed by online-violence victimization, and increased the possibility of cyber-violence behavior toward specific people. But the experience of suffering cyber-violence exerted a strong influence. The implication of this study found the path that adolescents became inflictors while they had the experience of suffering offline-violence and cyber-violence at the same time.
