학교 밖 청소년의 미래지향은 자아탄력성에 영향을 미치는가? 부모지지에 따른 우울의 조절된 매개효과를 중심으로

본 연구는 학교 밖 청소년의 미래지향이 우울을 통해 자아탄력성에 미치는 영향과 부모지지에 따른 조절된 매개효과 검증을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 학업중단 청소년 패널조사의 자료를 활용하여 Process Macro Model 4와 14를 기반으로 일련의 회귀분석을 수행하여 다음의 결과를 도출하였다. 학교 밖 청소년의 미래지향은 자아탄력성에 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 학교 밖 청소년의 미래지향은 우울을 낮추어 자아탄력성을 높이는 부분 매개효과를 나타냈다. 마지막으로 학교 밖 청소년의 미래지향이 우울을 통해 자아탄력성을 향상시키는 매개효과가 부모지지 수준이 높을수록 더 커지는 조절효과가 확인되었다. 결론적으로 본 연구는 학교 밖 청소년의 미래지향적 사고를 통해 자아탄력성을 촉진할 수 있다는 새로운 실증적 결과를 제시하였다. 후속 연구에서는 학교 밖 청소년의 자아탄력성에 영향을 미치는 보다 다양한 요인을 살펴보는 시도가 이어질 필요가 있다.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the influence of future orientation on ego-resilience among out-of-school adolescents, with particular attention to verifying the mediation effect of depression and the moderation effect of parental support. For the purpose, this study yielded the following results by using data from the Panel Survey of School Dropouts and conducting regression analyses with the Process Macro’s Models 4 and 14. This study found that out-of-school adolescents’ future orientation positively influenced ego-resilience. Also, the partial mediation effect of out-of-school adolescents’ future orientation on ego-resilience by decreasing depression was found. Finally, this study found the moderation effect of out-of-school adolescents’ parental support, which enhanced the mediation effect of future orientation on ego-resilience through depression. Consequently, this study provides new empirical evidence showing that out-of-school adolescents’ ego-resilience can be promoted by forming future orientation. It seems that further research needs to be conducted to examine more diverse factors affecting ego-resilience among out-of-school adolescents.
