강박신경증 구조로서의 영화 <베테랑>

영화 <베테랑>은 상상계적 영화이다. ‘아기 폐하’가 군림하는 나르시시즘이돋보이기 때문이다. 이처럼 할리우드 고전영화의 형식은 늘 다양성을 삭제하고 ‘어떤 것’을 은폐한다. 대타자의 부름에 성실하게 응답하기 위해 고뇌하는아이의 모습처럼 이 영화의 스토리는 규율과 질서에 매달린다. 신자유주의라는 물신을 길들이기 위해서는 대타자(아버지의 법)가 나서야 하는 것이다. 영화는 우리 앞에 놓여있는 ‘비열함’이라는 괴물로부터 우리의 주의를 다른 곳으로 돌리며, 억압하는 작업을 통해, 이성적 합리적 메시지외에는 어떤 이야기도전달되지 못하도록 통제한다. 그리고 사회의 불안을 ‘정의’라는 이름으로 봉합시켜 버린다. 이 글은 봉합에 저항하는, 이질적인 것으로 남겨진 것에 대한 해석이다. 강박신경증 주체의 고통은 “나는 죽었는가 살았는가”에 대한 막다른골목에 봉착한 인물이다. 그들은 의무라는 감옥에 갇힌 자들이다. 상징적 언어체계의 정신적 역동의 시선으로 영화 <베테랑>이 흔적으로 간직한 ‘얼룩’을 재조명한다.
Abstract
The movie “Veteran”(2015) is an imaginary film. This is because of the emphasis on narcissism in which the “His Majesty the Baby” reigns. In this way, Hollywood classical films always remove diversity and conceal ‘something’. Like the appearance of a child agonizing to respond sincerely to the call of the Other, the story of the film hangs on discipline and order. In order to tame the fetishism of neoliberalism, the Other(father's law) have to appear. The film turns our attention away from the monstrosity of the ‘meanness’ that lies before us. And through the oppression, the film controls not to transmit any stories except rational messages. In the end, the social anxiety is sutured in the name of ‘justice’. This article is an interpretation of what resists suture and remains as a heterogeneous. The subject of obsessive compulsive neurosis is a person who has endured a dead end of “Was I dead or alive?” They are the prisoners of duty. Through the eyes of the symbolic language system, this article seeks to reexamine the ‘stain’ that Veteran holds.
