이 글은 정신분석학적 통찰과 영화의 미학 그리고 법의 의미가 어떻게 비평을 통해서 하나가 되고, 동시에 비평이 어떻게 정신분석학적 진리를 구체화하고 영상미를 생성하며 법의 이미지를 재구성할 수 있는지를 살펴보고자 한다. 특히 세계적인 영화제들에서 수상한 영화 <기생충> (2019)을 그러한 실천의 예로 활용하면서, 서사의 중심이 되는 세 가족을 정신분석학이 정립한 인간 정신구조의 세 지층에 상응한다고 보고, 우선 각 지층을 면밀하게 들추어내 본다. 그리고 그를 기초로 봉준호 감독이 자신만의 독창적인 예술양식인 ‘삑사리’를 통해 정신분석학의 세 심급 사이의 영상들을 어떻게 미학적으로 엮어냈는지를 밝혀본다. 나아가 <기생충>이 정신분석학적 통찰의 기반 위에서 삑사리의 영상예술형식을 사용함으로써 이성법의 기획을 성찰적으로 수행한다는 점을 살펴본다.
Abstract
This interdisciplinary film essay is trying to show how the insight of psychoanalysis, the aesthetics of film, and the meaning of law could be integrated into the critique and simultaneously how the critique could constitute the beauty of moving images, produce the knowledge of psychoanalysis, and reconstruct the image of law. With the winner of the Palme d’Or 2019 and four Oscars 2020, Parasite, first, this essay provides a psychoanalytic depth of human mentality by understanding the Parks as bourgeois superego, the Kims as jealousy ego, and the Ohs as Oedipal id. Then, this essay argues how Bong Joon Ho aesthetically weaved moving images among three psychoanalytic instances throughout his well-known cinematic technique, l’art du Piksari. And finally, this essay shows how the psychoanalytic jealous could be linked to and be understood as the reason of the modern law and how Parasite could carry on the reflective project of rational law.
