초록

The energy transition has been implementing in many countries due to the necessity of strengthening energy security and climate change response. Even with global crises, such as the Russia-Ukraine war and the Israel–Hamas war, the energy transition has continued. The key to energy transition is continuity. It is reflected that Germany and the UK have constantly implemented their own ways of energy transition over the past three decades. In 2011, Denmark announced zero fossil fuel dependency in the national energy mix until 2050. In 2020, Denmark also sets a 70% reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 compared to 1990 levels and a climate-neutral society by 2050 at the latest. It needs to consider how Denmark, an energy-poor country in the 1960s and 1970s, has implemented energy transition. To provide an answer, this article analyzes the Danish energy transition and its institutional development.
